community crisis
Recent surveys show that over 60% of people between the ages of 18 and 24 consistently play at least an hour of video games every week. At the same time, other studies reveal that the very same age group is much less likely to feel a part of a community when compared to older generations. Before the internet revolution, video games used to be something that friends would gather in living rooms to play together. Nowadays, however, most games are played online - no more splitscreen experiences - further contributing to the rise in isolation felt by many in the new generations.
