when every second counts…

As important as preparedness can be during an earthquake, the most essential factor in surviving is the amount of time to get to safety. This earthquake alarm relay system, dubbed the “Richter Reader”, uses a network of P-wave sensors to give users the quickest, most accurate earthquake alerts possible.

The Richter Reader is designed for Californian residences. It has two parts: the sensor unit that is installed in the yard and the alarm unit that mounts on interior walls. The system is designed to blend into the home, and offers a minimal interface. The precious seconds it saves could be the difference between getting caught off-guard and finding safety.
