camping, on the safe side

Through a survey study of those who experienced an animal attack, only a handful of people managed to properly use or discharge their weapon or safety device. In all cases, the most ideal situation would be to avoid any confrontation with the animal. The Scare Bear is designed to do just that.

The Scare Bear exploits the difference in humans’ and large animals’ senses in order to ward off the danger without bringing any actual harm (to anyone). While a chemical vapor masks any enticing scent of food, an electrically-controlled diaphragm makes animals believe that a larger, scarier predator is close by. The Scare Bear makes a sound out of humans’ hearing range, thereby leaving the users in peace.
